“It was great to be back out photographing last week. First in Iceland then to the highlands in Scotland. Wildlife certainly isn’t what used to come to my mind when thinking about Scotland, but it is now. The scenery in the highlands was unlike anything I had seen before and it provides an almost never-ending backdrop of grandeur.
Dad knows the right people up here and that makes getting the camera close to stags easier than it should be. The weather was dark and gloomy, but that’s kind of what we wanted – it is Scotland .
The stag was so majestic – the idea that people climb up here to shoot them is beyond me. He really is The Monarch of the Glen.”
