

Alexis Gorodine
Alexis Gorodine was born in 1944 in Malicone, France. He pursued his studies at the Atelier d’Urbanisme in Martinique, the Atelier de Calevaert-Brun, and the Atelier Sauve-qui-Peut in Paris. Gorodine spent extended periods in Africa, South America, and North America. His travels through distant lands, coupled with nine years in New York, profoundly shaped his artistic vision, perception, and thought. He gained international fame with his beautifully crafted, minimalist artworks. The artist is highly skilled in reproduction techniques such as etching and lithography, creating works of exceptional quality. Through simple shapes and lines, Gorodine depicts recognizable forms, focusing in his work on the essence of things. Gorodine’s work is exhibited worldwide and is included in numerous museum and private collections.
