Isaac Job

Isaac Job.  At 26 years old, Isaac has roots in the Caribbean and Colombia but grew up in the Netherlands. His multicultural background plays a significant role in his artistic approach, allowing him to blend influences from different traditions, histories, and artistic movements. During the COVID 19 pandemic he decided to pick up a brush and start painting. What started as a personal exploration quickly evolved into a passion for creating timeless pieces that bridge cultures and emotions. Through extensive self-study, he progressed from painting on sneakers to customizing designer items, eventually transitioning to canvas paintings and sculptural designs.  Isaac Job’s inspiration derives from observing different cultures and finding common ground within their differences a universal narrative that connects humanity. He believes that art has the power to transcend language and geography, offering people a moment of reflection and connection, no matter where they come from.  Isaac’s vast growing oeuvre and artistic vision all comes together in his ‘Nági Collection’. The word "Nági" itself means the calmness of a tranquil sea without wind and waves. The name is an invitation to slow down during the hectic rhythm of life. It reminds us that, amidst the chaos, we should pause, return to ourselves, and embrace our history. It symbolizes an oasis of tranquillity amidst the turmoil and aims to convey the message of paying attention to the unique stories that each of us carries. In the world we live in, where hustle and bustle often prevail, Isaac Job encourages listening, understanding, and acknowledging the value of each individual and their unique journey. Because, like the sea without wind and waves, true calmness can only be found when we take the time to pause and listen to the stories unfolding before us. Isaac’s Nági Collection is all about storytelling and evoking emotions and visual experiences through sculptures and paintings.
