Nico Vrielink
Nico Vrielink was born in 1958 in the Netherlands. From an early age, he was drawn to an artistic career. His parents enrolled him at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arendonk, followed by the University of Fine Arts in Eindhoven. With his art degree in hand, he moved to Singapore, where he met Jeane. This encounter would mark a true turning point in his life. Since then, Jeane has been a central theme running through his work. Nico Vrielink works in the academic tradition, progressing from dark to light. Alongside his portrayals of Jeane, another theme that resonates deeply with him is Eastern mysticism—a serene reflection of silence and the inner self. Over time, Jeane has been depicted with increasing serenity and reserve on his canvases, and the backgrounds in his works have grown richer in mystical influence. Vrielink’s work is sold and exhibited worldwide in cities such as Vienna, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Kortrijk, Las Vegas, New York, Singapore, Miami, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Rotterdam, Jakarta, Ghent, San Francisco, Knokke, Berlin, and Boston—an impressive list that continues to grow. His works are part of major museum, corporate, and private collections, and six books have been published on the life and work of this exceptional artist.
