Willemien Brand attended The Design Academy in Eindhoven, where she graduated with honors in 1990. Since then, she has worked as a visual artist and designer. She also conducts workshops in ‘Painting’ and ‘Visual Communication Sketching’ for businesses. Willemien Brand's artwork reflects her cheerful and open personality. Her art is characterized by fresh, vibrant colors, with animals and figures that, thanks to bold outlines, convey energy and joy. Each composition expresses movement or interaction, as she continually seeks simplicity in form. The layered backgrounds in her work are characteristic of her paintings, and this beautiful layering enhances both the composition and color.
